Frequently Asked Questions
Are your lenses UV protected? What UV rating do you offer?
All our sport and sunglass lenses come with 100% UVA & UVB protection, meeting international UV400 standard. UV400 blocks all harmful ultraviolet rays up to 400nm wavelength. It is the highest UV protection grade for eyewear. Please note UV protection is different from tint darkness. Even light-colored lenses can fully block UV rays, while dark lenses without coating cannot protect your eyes from UV damage.
Are the lenses polarized? How do polarized lenses work?
We provide both polarized and non-polarized options. Polarized lenses contain a special filter to block horizontal reflected glare from water, roads and snow. It greatly reduces eye strain and improves visual clarity. Non-polarized lenses suit mountain climbing and some driving scenarios, as polarized lenses may sometimes interfere with digital screen visibility. Each product title clearly marks whether it uses polarized lenses for easy selection.
What material are your frames and lenses made of?
Most frames are made of lightweight TR90, flexible and impact-resistant. TR90 can bend under pressure without breaking, perfect for high-impact sports. Lenses mainly use polycarbonate, famous for shatterproof performance. It is lighter than glass and resistant to minor scratches. Some premium styles add anti-scratch, anti-fog and oil-repellent coating. Avoid sharp hard objects to extend the service life of lens coating.
How should I clean and maintain my sport sunglasses?
Always use the supplied microfiber cloth to wipe lenses. Do not use paper towels, shirts or rough fabric, which may scratch lens coating. Rinse lenses with running water and mild soap to remove grease and sweat. Never place glasses lens-down on hard surfaces. Keep them in the hard case when not in use. Avoid leaving them in high-temperature places like car dashboard for long periods.
Do you offer prescription sport sunglasses?
At present, we do not support custom prescription lenses directly. However, many of our sport frames are compatible with prescription inserts. You can purchase the sunglass frame first and visit your local optical shop to fit prescription inner lenses. Our customer service can share compatible insert size information upon request. We are developing custom prescription service and will update it on our website later.
What is optical distortion, and do your lenses minimize distortion?
Optical distortion causes straight lines to look bent, which can trigger eye fatigue or dizziness during long sports. Our lenses use precision curved injection molding to reduce peripheral distortion. We control diopter deviation within ISO tolerance across the whole lens surface, not only the central vision zone. Wraparound frames naturally create slight peripheral distortion, but we optimize lens curvature to keep it within acceptable safe limits for athletes.
Why do polarized lenses sometimes cause rainbow artifacts?
Rainbow patterns on polarized lenses are normal optical interference, not product defects. It occurs when polarized light passes through plastic films, tempered glass or LCD screens with polarizing layers. The overlapping polarizing angles split white light into color bands. This effect usually appears at certain viewing angles. It does not harm eyes or degrade lens performance, and most users barely notice it during outdoor activities.
Do your lenses block blue light? Is blue light protection needed for outdoor sports?
Our UV400 lenses naturally block harmful high-energy blue light below 400nm. Visible blue light between 400–450nm is not fully blocked. Moderate visible blue light outdoors helps regulate circadian rhythm. Extra blue-blocking coating is optional; it may change color perception and reduce contrast. For most outdoor sports, standard UV400 protection is sufficient without extra blue light filter.
What is the difference between injection lenses and cast lenses?
Our sport lenses are injection-molded polycarbonate. Injection lenses deliver consistent thickness, precise curvature and high impact resistance, ideal for mass sport eyewear. Cast lenses are usually CR-39, with superior optical clarity but lower impact resistance. CR-39 scratches more easily. Injection polycarbonate balances lightweight, impact safety and cost, which matches the requirement of high-intensity outdoor sports.
